In relation to this, Day 4 of Wills lifestyle Fashion Week definitely stood out to us as being the day that a lot of young and upcoming designers who showed a whole lot of potential. Some of the talented designers that caught our eye included,
Young designer Josh Goraya stuck to his forte of clean, sporty and wearable outfits in his Spring/Summer showcase. Linen suits in tailored styles in trendy pastel hues of blue, beige and peach were paired with oversized metallic look eyewear which created the prefect summer look.
Graphic style brightly coloured prints were used throughout, aswellas tonal beadwork on off-white dresses and collage style prints in bright tones of orange, deep blue and black. Shift dresses, tailored style button down shirts and sheer skirts were the focus silhouettes for women.
Josh Goraya’s collection clearly focused on trendy and wearable silhouettes, we are sure Josh’s designs would appeal to young fashion followers!
The young designer showcased stunning feminine dresses and two-pieces in a variety of soft pastel hues, featured in a contrasting combination of over-sized tailored styles and highly embellished detail. His collection also featured beautiful embroidery and a mixture of various textures that added an interesting depth to the designs.
His colour palettes included greens, ivory, greys and soft reds; as pastel colours are soothing for the eyes, sharp cuts of the dresses also made the collection edgy. We also loved the ruffles and silky sheer detail.
With a live band performing on stage, Vivek Karunakaran’s Will Lifestyle Fashion Week show began as models wearing boxy free flowing monochrome outfits walked down the runway. As well as monochrome as the main colour pallet, bright yellow and coral created a refreshing burst of colour, followed by a royal blue as the show progressed.
Quirky prints and surface embellishments were a key motif seen throughout the collection, aswellas a focus on crop tops with pleated palazzos and skirts were the some of the key silhouettes. We even saw a pleated palazzo's for men, worn with a stylish tailored jacket.
Details like oversized pockets, contrasting panelling and exaggerated silhouettes were a key focus throughout the show, softened by floaty, lightweight fabrics. A short messy bob style hair style that the models wore perfectly complemented the fresh, youthful feel of the collection.
The Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Spring-Summer 15 offered some one the best unrestrained glamour, sassy hues and young talent that we’ve seen so far, we are very impressed!
