We’ve seen an influx of star studded events recently, on the fashion front that means one thing, the celebrity red carpet dresses! Throughout these recent events we’ve notice a key trend arising this spring/summer 2015.
The trend of the moment for the celebrity red carpet dresses is no other than a girl’s best friend, glitter! Glitter may sounds a bit 1990’s disco, but it also works for the grown ups, the mega star grown up to be exact. We have seen some of the biggest celebs donning this trend recently, such as Amanda Seyfried, Gigi Hadid and Diane Kruger, who all showcased their sparkly celebrity red carpet dresses at the CFDA Awards.
The glitz and glamour of the 80’s disco style is on the cards for Autumn 2015, and the fashion forward celebrity ladies are as always stepping on the toes of the upcoming trends.
Here are our favourite glittery celebrity red carpet dresses from the recent events:
Although not a traditional rep carpet dress, Gigi Hadid looked spectacular as always in sparkly jumpsuit number at the recent CFDA Awards. This has to be one of our favourite looks from the event; the starlet looked both classy and stylish with loose curls and neutral make-up.
Another lady that stood out to us was Marion Cotillard, who wore a Dior Couture dress with Chopard jewels on the Cannes rep carpet. We like the contrast of the simple silhouette teamed with stunning detailed embellishment, the deep purple colouring also suits her skin colouring perfectly.
Amanda Seyfried’s stunning sparkly gown with intricate embellishment and flower details has to be our favourite look so far from recent red carpet events. The unique and colourful dress goes perfectly with her choice of simplistic gold heels and a sleek middle parting. Take note ladies!
Last but not least on our top glittery celebrity rep carpet dresses list, is Chanel Iman at the Cannes Film Festival 2015. The beauty wore a shimmering pastel pink cut out gown with halter neck detailing. This look had a distinct 90’s feel about it, which made us love the whole look even more!
