London Fashion Week SS16 came to a close on Tuesday. We have created a round-up of some of our favourite street fashion from the five days.
London Fashion Week typically has a reputation for serving up some rather unconventional street fashion and as you will see from the photos below, this year was no different. Despite the fact that this year, London Fashion Week has seen a mixture of sunshine and heavy rain, fashion enthusiasts were not deterred. Loads of people braved the elements for a browse round the designer showrooms or adorned the pavement outside the Brewer Street car park, which became the home of British fashion from the 18th – 22nd September.
Designer Victor Wong showcased his handmade sculptural sunglasses collection (even in the rain) as he collaborated with Cashka Le Retour who wore her own figure-hugging gold dress.
Fashion and social media aficionado Rae Alexandra, came clad in leather, with a custom made leather jacket by Marcus Method.
Fashion design student Promise Bakar (left) brought a touch of punk to the proceedings with leather trousers and cat-eye glasses, while Brand Executive Eleanore Montgomery took us back to the 70s with her white and black striped, wide leg trousers.
Street fashion also made its way into the designer showrooms, as revellers came stylishly attired to browse, in big purple hats, metallic skirts and suave colourful chequered blazers.
In addition to the more quirky outfits, there were also some stylish dresses, denim combos and varsity jackets. From designers, to fashion fans, London Fashion Week always brings out the best style and is a great forecast for the trends to come. We can’t wait till next year!
