Indian designers are fast becoming the forefront of the global fashion industry and becoming more and more popular.

One of the Indian Designers that has recently stood out for us is Jyotsna Tiwari. Jyotsna Tiwari’s vision is to create modern ensembles with ideas of traditional roots with a contemporary outcome: "It is not only about bridal dressing but tasteful dressing for the demanding modern women of today."

Her most recent collection titled "mystical romance" adds a hint of mystery and romance to the classic Indian look, with flowing silhouettes, Grecian drapes, and various colours and styles. This collection is an attempt to merge the classic themes of old India with a modern twist, therefore creating a contrast of classic and traditional wear.

The collection is aimed not only at Indian brides but for all those who want to experiment with contemporary Indian styles for special occasions. Ultimatly the collection focuses around an Indian inspiration with western influences which gives the garments a defining point of difference from competitor Indian designers.

Jyotsna Tiwari took a soft pastel route for her fascinating western looking Indian bridal collection at The BMW India Bridal Fashion Week 2014. Showcased were a selection of beautifully pre-draped sarees, embellished lehengas, fusion anarkalis, and stunningly detailed gowns.

Luxury velvet fabrics were combined with satin for an elegant and feminine look. There were only a few embroidered and embellished gowns in the traditional colour white, but many presented in a rainbow of pastel tones. The understated and subtle jewels gave the garments both a timeless and beautifully unconventional look.

Jyotsna Tiwari also showcased her debut collection on the last day of Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2014. Her unique collection focused on beautiful fusion Indian style ballgown dresses, infused with pre-pleated sari and draped gowns.

She didn’t neglect the indian brides though, focusing on Indian brides planning destination beach weddings with her goegous dresses. Sunny Leone was the ultimate showstopper on the ramp in a pink mermaid style net dress embellished and infused with a variety of crystals.
