The designs presented were a colourful kaleidoscope of colours, patterns and glamour. All in all, the Blenders Pride Fashion Week 2014 striked a perfect blend of fashion trends, sophisticated style and celebrities galore. The venue certainly reflected this with futuristic mannequins and guests enjoying their extravagant night out, with plenty of wining and dining. Sounds perfect!

Day 1 introduced traditional Indian designs, as Neeta Lulla's stunning ensembles graced the ramp. Neeta's collection was inspired by elegant vintage western designs from the 50's infused with an Indian aesthetic. Showstopper Aditi Rao Hydari looked like a gold goddess in an all golden ensemble and heavy golden jewellery. What made the event even more special was that it was Aditi's first time walking the ramp at the Blenders Pride Fashion Tour in stunning Neeta Lulla creation and that too...vintage!

Suneet Varma's Shekhawati inspired designs definitely left the audience wanting for more, as they tapped along to the funky tunes of the Midival Punditz. What was especially appealing in Suneet Varma's show was a model playing a muse, wearing a stunning red and gold anarkali, swaying with her every move. Designer duo Ashwin and Ash set the ramp on fire, with Anushka Manchanda as the showstopper. Little Shilpa's designs were infused with quirkiness, yet maintaining functionality, with plenty of denim, juxtaposition of bright fabrics and interesting silhouettes. Designer Varun Bahl's designs featured an elegant monochrome palette, with beautiful subtle embroidered detailing in silver and maroon and was definitely sleek and sophisticated.

Designers Abraham and Thakore are highly respected for their tributes to the Indian fashion industry. Their designs strike a unique balance of a modern design voice, whilst infusing traditional rich elements of Indian crafts and design, paying high tribute to material, form and craft. Collection after collection, Abraham and Thakore maintain the belief that luxury lies in products that are exclusive and specially crafted.
