Fresh off the runways so far this 2015 we have seen a huge amount of eye-catching manicures that nail it in the nail trends department.
Here are some of the summer styles that have stood out to us so far:
Sparkly nails always seem to go in and out of fashion, and for this spring/summer shimmering styles are all the rage. This trend is for the chic and glam ladies who like to stand out from the crowd. Vivienne Westwood has recently introduced the combination of colourful nail textures and detailed patterns with shimmering silver backgrounds, a match made in heaven for crazy nail art lovers.
Another interesting sparkly style we have seen recently is subtle silver textures from Au Jour Le Jour and the fusion of whites with shimmering silver tones by Kenzo. Other shimmery nail trends and designs seen on the runway recently include the deep shimmery purple with contrasting red texture from House of Holland, as well as the glossy and sleek look from DSquared2. For a more regal approach to shimmery nails, we loved the royal and majestic golden patterns from Tadashi Shoji.
If you don’t want to over do it on the sparkly front, got for subtle shimmering tips on top of a nude tone for a glamorous and sophisticated look.
From crazy 3D textures to simple and stylish embellishments, we have seen a huge variety of embelished and bejeweled nail trends recently, forming a new and experimental nail style for all you quirky fashion lovers. This type of bold nail design became the cornerstone of designer Ashish’s London Fashion Week collection, which dazzled the audience with jewel and glitter detailing teamed with soft classic colours. Manish Arora also recently featured gorgeous colourful and creative designs with 3D holographic detailing, featuring two spring/summer nail trends in one!
This trend is great for experimentation, and can be as subtle or as crazy as you want it to be.
Classic nude tones are the next big thing in nail trends for this Spring/Summer. Nudes have been in fashion for a while now but they have now begun to take over the nail world. Martin Grant went for nude nail tones recently with a simple short nail combo, creating an extremely natural look. A combination of nude and white nails is also a great look teamed with summer skin, as seen recently by designer Gabriele Colangelo.
This trend is open to interoperation in terms of how it’s executed; we have seen huge diversity showcasing nude nails from the recent fashion weeks. We personally love a simple glossy nude teamed with almond shaped nails, creating a cute and classy look. This trend is hugely versatile and goes with almost every outfit!
Choosing versatile shades like white is yet another popular choice for the upcoming month of nail trends, proving further that natural nails are the probably the biggest trend for the new season! This timeless and simple trend was seen at the stunning Osman show, featuring extremely minimalistic and classy vibes with simple white nails worn by all the models.
We also saw this trend utilised by Erin Fetherston, who showcased a fusion of pure white with a thin golden stripe, we loved this take on the trend as it creates a slightly more glamorous look which would be perfect for summer parties teamed tanned summer skin!
