Apart from trendsetting clothes, fashion shows also introduce us to creative makeup styles.
Makeup techniques are so powerful that they have the capacity to transform a plain Jane into a diva.
Every year we come across creative make-up trends via fashion shows and catwalks and it literally blows our mind.
Makeup artists and experts put a lot of thought to create illuminating looks. Last year was all about graphic eyes, sculpted lips and exaggerated hairstyles.
Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2016 being one of the most prestigious and inspiring fashion shows brought us new trends in makeup style. So lets check out some of the striking and creative makeup trends from their!
Many makeup experts and connoisseurs enhanced the models’ looks by putting graphic lines in different shades just above the eye socket. It not only looked great but was also a fresh change from the routine eye-makeup. To neutralise the color, the skin was kept clean with minimal base and matte finish nude lip colors. All in all, it was one of the most note-worthy trends of this season.
Catwalk makeup is not always synonymous with loud and bright makeup. Sometimes a simple, soft and subtle makeup is all it needs to change the game. This is what we witnessed at the Gaurang Shah’s recent show in Lakme Fashion Week 2016. The models sported an understated, light, angelic and dewy makeup. The idea was to create illuminated cheeks and a little shine on the eyes. Some models were seen in rose-bud lip color while others had lip-stains. However overall the focus was on skin, which was glowing with natural radiance.
Eyes are the best feature of one’s face. And if eye makeup is done great, it does the trick! What caught our attention at this year’s Lakme Fashion Week 2016 was the highlighted eye trend. The usual black eyeliner was given a chic twist by adding a hint of gold over it. The combination of black and gold looked amazing and opened new avenue in makeup creativity. You can also get the look by recreating this black-gold eye makeup using an eye palette with golden undertones.
It’s not always perfectly done makeup that wins the game. Sometimes one has to try something different to get the eyeballs rolling. With this thought in mind, Natasha created something extraordinary for designer Anand Kabra. She created an edgy, grungy look for the models and coined it as deconstructed glamour. The look was inspired by the colours of smoke and ash.
Other creative Indian makeup trends which were observed at the Lakme Fashion Week 2016 were shimmery eyes, gelled hair, eyebrow shimmers, winged eyeliners and much more. These new and fresh creative makeup and hairdo ideas are not just for ramp walks. You can use them in real life to enchance your look. Get going!
