Between managing five hugely successful labels you'd think that designer Anita Dongre would have her hands firmly full. But she's recently taken a different route and added the role of jewellery designer to her every growing resume, by collaborating with Pradeep Jethani of Jet Gems on a new beautiful collection of unique gold statement Anita dongre jewellery called ‘Pink City’.
The collection includes innovative jewellery for both men and women. This collection of Anita Dongre Jewellery combines her signature style of mixing both traditional techniques with extremely on trend and modern aesthetic. The collection is heavily inspired by the tale of the princess who needs to patiently wait for the appearance of a pink flamingo before discovering her prince. The stunning collection is a symbol of both love and commitment.
Each jewel is lovingly placed within the pieces and has been intricately hand-crafted into gold, and evokes the classiness and opulence of the popular royal Moghul era. This unique Anita Dongre jewellery collection incorporates extremely traditional Rajasthani techniques which includes both Jadau and Meenakari, a method of staining and embellishing the surface of metals, precious gems and diamonds placed in sophisticated designs to add a signature sparkle to these gorgeous jewels.
Remarking on the launch of Pinkcity, Anita Dongre stated that her collaboration with Jet Gems was a natural choice due to Pradeeps unquestionable expertise in the creation and crafting of innovative and detailed bespoke jewellery.
Anita Dongre’s intricate attention to accessory detail sparked her interest in women's ornamentations, which lead to the 18-month involvement in the craft of jadau jewellery. She stated: "originating from Jaipur, I've grown-up with jadau jewellery. I initially went to Pradeep Jethani to learn the important techniques and absorb how to transform a sketch into reality".
