Hailed as Bollywood’s most fashionable celebrity, Sonam Kapoor has us gawking at her outfits every single time she makes a public appearance. From demure saris and anarkalis to sophisticated haute couture gowns, the fashionista is known to carry any look with elan.

She is well-known for her adventurous approach towards fashion, for experimenting with the latest trends and why, even setting some of them herself. We think that it is this risk-taking appetite, eye for style and effortless confidence that let her hit it out of the park at every single outing.

While her forays on the red carpet have been dissected to death by the press and media, here is a look at five of her lesser known but memorable looks that had floored us completely!

Sleek and Sophisticated in Tommy Hilfiger

Sonam Kapoor attended Tommy Hilfiger’s ten years in India bash wearing TH from head to toe. We cannot think of any other actor who could have carried off this power look with more finesse. She finished the look with a choker, a slick hairdo and added a pop of colour to it via the ultra-red lips and nails. We love how she kept the look simple, striking and sophisticated.

Pretty in D&G Dress

Sonam Kapoor visited Skynews in London for an interview in a fun and flirty D&G fall dress. The sheer red dress featured bell sleeves and a flare hemline. Once more, she chose to style her look with D&G glares and purse. If you notice, you’d see how she has cleverly incorporated a vintage hairdo to complement the lace in the outfit and perfect for a day out!

Traditional Beauty

5 Looks from Sonam Kapoor that Floored Us Completely - Kallol Datta Saree

There have been many sightings of Sonam Kapoor in lavish and extravagant sarees designed by the who’s who of the fashion industry. But the look that we loved was in this simple red Kallol Datta saree that she sported at a premiere.

The red saree with quirky black clock prints was paired with a short, sleeveless blouse that upped the smart quotient of the look. Elevating the impact of the ensemble were the Bottega Veneta clutch and the chunky silver neckpiece. Like what you see?

At the 2015 Cannes Film Festival, Sonam Kapoor attended a screening in a cobalt blue gown that looked striking on the red carpet. Full marks for her unconventional choice of colour that turned out to be the highlight of the ensemble.

With dramatic detailing along the waist and a fluidic silhouette, the dress was beautifully complemented with classic side swept hair, Chopard earrings and a pair of blue Zanotti sandals.

Dramatic Sculptured Look at Cannes

For the Chopard party at Cannes, Sonam Kapoor chose Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla separates – a sculpted top with a sleek black skirt. Why we love this look is because she chose something as radical and dramatic as this top and wore it with so much confidence that it turned into a winner.

On anybody else, we are not sure how this dress would have turned out. The fashion diva tag comes well-deserved because of bold fashion choices such as these. She wore the outfit with blingy Chopard diamond and ruby earrings. A Carlo Moltedo clutch completed her look. Smoky eyes and sleek, side parted hair complemented the outfit without overpowering the look much.

These were the top five best looks of Sonam Kapoor according to us. What do you think? Is there an appearance of hers that is etched in your mind? We’d love to hear from you!
