After graduating from the prestigious National Institute of Fashion Technology at the beginning of 2000, Rajdeep Ranawat started working with a Parisian based fashion label called ISHWAR. It was here that Rajdeep got trained (by French commercial designers) in the art of European style embroidery skills, colours and silhouettes.
Quickly moving forward, he was then selected to be the Chief Designer of a New York based fashion label that allowed him to design for some of the largest brands across the United States, including the likes of Bloomingdales, Lord and Taylor, Boston Proper, Irish Gifts and a number of other names. This role gave him enough exposure to allow him to launch his own label in 2004 for markets across the globe.
Rajdeep Ranawat incorporates a wide range of different design styles from European styles to traditional and contemporary Indian styles and even tries to add in an oriental style to his collections. His use of embellishments, pearls, sequins and Swarvoski crystals give an added glamour and luxury feel to his styles. By linking all of the different styles and cultures together under one label, his collections have been able to appeal to people from a variety of cultures.
The label has since grown to retail from numerous locations around the world including Hong Kong, South Africa, Jakarta, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, New York and London.
