Indian Designer Poonam Dubey
Poonam Dubey

In 2009 Poonam Dubey launched her own label, named “Golden Feathers”. Her mantra when creating dresses is to “Enhance personality without overshadowing individuality”. Her brand Golden Feathers has since grown to include a collection of exciting colours and handcrafted designs.

The label incorporates traditional Indian hand embroidery skills like Tie and Dye as well as Block Printing on a wide range of fabrics including Silk and Cotton to create a traditional look whilst maintaining a contemporary theme. Her collections include Salwar Suits, Bridalwear, Tunics, Tops Kaftans and Sarees.

Born in a small border village near Nepal, Poonam Dubey benefits from over 18 years of extensive knowledge of the fashion industry. She credits her brother Manoj Bajpai (Bollywood actor) for having urged her to pursue a career in fashion, and for discovering her creativity.

Poonam Dubey’s work, including her label Golden Feather has quickly risen in the fashion ranks to become one of the top picks for affordable Indian apparel, whilst maintaining a certain level of quality and originality that can normally only be observed with smaller designer labels. For this reason, her collections have had large appreciation from the attendees at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week and Amazon India Fashion Week.
