Pallavi's autumn/winter 2012 collection was inspired by her deep understanding of Rajasthani local culture developed through her travels in the most remote parts which are often a divine inspiration. Pallavi observed how artists trade their goods and exchange ideas in noisy bazaars. She got a rush of adrenaline with a sense of renewed buzz from this experience compelling her to use her observations as inspiration for her collection. However, she has carefully interspersed this kitschy art form in her urban collection which has the expected finesse of fabrics like silks and chiffons that are regal, stylish and embellished with traditional village feel full of colours and patchwork. A testimony to the rich heritage of her surroundings.
