Indian fashion designer Kallol Datta studied womens wear at Central St. Martins in 2006. Afterwards he launched his label 'Kallol Datta 1955' in 2008. A regular at Fashion Week in India, Kallol has been labelled as 'the face of new Indian fashion'. His clothes have ushered in a new wave of ethno-grunge dressing. Kallol was a participant in India's first Fashion Art Residency at KHOJ Studios and is a guest columnist for The Telegraph, Kolkata.
The entire collection has been manufactured in India. Using silkscreen prints, signature 3D folds and surface texture has been introduced for the first time. With 'LOVE' as a central theme, this collection is a continuation of a dialogue between the garment and the viewer.
