Akshat studied at Central St Martins in London & NIFT in India, after which he trained as an apprentice on Saville Row and has honed his skills designing couture with Indian ace designer Tarun Tahiliani. He is inspired by unconventional visions and tangential thought and aims to manifesting his view with Bloni.
Commenting on the brand, the designer says, "...A studio known for capturing unique identities and delivering great experiences, we want our designs to ease clients into expanding their comfort zone, evolving and expressing themselves better. Fashion should transcend functionality and creativity to define new perspectives. At Bloni, we encourage an unconventional approach and believe in developing and nurturing ideas. Our process allows clients to understand and create an “innovative self” which would enable them to bring out the quirk in themselves. The visual tangent follows an absurd path, but the Origin and the End is distinct. It’s the journey which adds on and makes it unique and it’s own. Our garments are made using age-old hand techniques and delivered with an intimate touch, and we give individual identities a sharper and stronger voice..."
