Agnimitra Paul is a fashion Indian designer who was born in West Bengal, India. She did a MBA course from Jadavpur University and got a diploma in fashion technology from Birla Institute of Liberal Arts and Management Sciences.

She also created her own label called INGA. Her signature style is about 5 statements: Values, Differentiation, Simplicity, Modernity in Gender and Cultural Ethos. She distinguished herself through her use of colours, innovative designs and custom formulations. She wants to prove through her collections that women can look glamorous with a western look, but also confident with qn Indian touch for each piece of clothing.

Her initial career began by designing for different Bollywood celebrities such as Sridevi for her personal wardrobe. She also got a chance to work for actors such as Esha Deol, Shonal Rawat, Kay Kay Menon, Sonali Kulkarni, Vinay Pathak and Parvin Dabas, for the Bollywood movie “Via Darjeeling”.

In addition to all the chances that she had to design for a lot of Bollywood celebrities, she also had the opportunity to design for Rituparna Sengupta, Mithun Chakraborthy, Swastika Mukherjee and more. After having presented shawls and blankets that she designed, she received appreciation from former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

For the Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2013, she designed lovely creations. For her collection for this event, she used heavy and colourful prints for her sarees.

Nowadays, Agnimitra Paul’s popularity has increased and she has an important client list.
