Vikram Phadnis first launched his menswear line in the 2008. This month, he will be back in Dubai to showcase at the next edition of fashion exhibition Araaish. The designer recently reported to enjoy creating menswear, by specifying that for him it is like a challenge, it leaves less room for experiments.
Currently his focus is on high end churidars, kurtas, bandhgalas, sherwanis, but talking about the evolution of the menswear, he said "I feel definitely menswear has evolved for the fashion conscious male, unlike the early days wherein the bride was the centre of attraction during the wedding. Nowadays, efforts are also made so that the bride and the groom look coordinated; this includes colours, silhouettes, to the extent that accessories are also coordinated".
The Araaish event will take place on September 21 in Dubai and will feature 40 designers from India, including Neeta Lulla and Mandira Bedi.
