Indian fashion’s Emperor of Drapes, Tarun Tahiliani, is back with his annual and now much-awaited event — Bridal Exposition. In its third year now, the Tarun Tahiliani Bridal Couture Exposition is the biggest of its kind in India and is set to expand its horizons further, with dates not just in Delhi and Mumbai, but also Hyderabad and Kolkata. As always, Tahiliani’s emphasis remains on the opulence lent by traditional Indian artistry, and appropriately enough, the theme this year is ‘Artisanal — Bringing the Artisan to the Fore’. “European designers have always used Indian workmanship and now we will see a new fusion of Indian Couture, using international construction with the finest of weaves, embroideries, jewels, stones and techniques,” says the designer.
The Exposition begins in Delhi’s DLF Emporio from July 8 to 13, moving on to Mumbai’s Four Seasons Hotel from July 22-24, The Park Hyderabad on August 6-7 and ends at The Park Kolkata on August 20-21.
