The Tarun Tahiliani Bridal Couture Exposition is a unique concept designed by Tarun Tahiliani as a novel way of showcasing Indian Bridal Couture in the finest of settings. This year, the Tarun Tahiliani Bridal Couture Exposition is expanding its reach beyond Delhi & Mumbai to other major cities like Hyderabad & Kolkata taking the number of cities up to four. In the years to come, the exposition will be held in other cities across India enabling access to connoisseurs and enthusiasts of fine artisanal techniques and luxurious bridal couture. The exposition starts from July 9-13, 2011 at DLF Emporio, New Delhi
In its third season now, the Exposition promises to create a new benchmark in the display of India's rich heritage styled in a contemporary manner. The theme chosen for this year is 'Artisanal- Bringing the Craft to the Fore'- an entirely novel blend of Indian finery with a layered western construct.
Talking about the Exposition, Tarun Tahiliani said, "It is a proud moment as the exposition travels & enters its third season. We have received overwhelming response from our clients in the past & we expect the same this season. The exposition this year is a tribute to the artisan hands that pour their energy into creating and preserving works of depth and beauty. 'Artisanal' is an inspirational confluence of two great artisanal traditions in a unique fashion; Indian Couture layered in a Western Construct. The exposition presents our rich heritage with the finest weaves, embroideries, jewels, stones and techniques. This, we hope, will bring our artisans and processes to the fore, resulting in a new luxe and fine fit that is uniquely Indian in taste.
He added "I would also like to thank all our partners Forevermark, DLF Emporio, Swarovski Elements, The Park Hotels and Diageo for their continuing support to the exposition".
Close on the heels of the Delhi edition, the exposition will reach Mumbai at the finest hospitality icon - The Four Seasons Hotel from July 22-24, 2011; will then move to Hyderabad at the newly launched luxury hotel The Park Hyderabad from August 6-7, 2011 and will end its four city tour at Kolkata's iconic hotel-The Park Kolkata from August 20-21, 2011.

About the Collection
In the face of mass, generic and fast fashion, designers have increasingly turned to branding and costumes or gimmicks to win the attention of the media or their clientele. Real beauty, luxury and elegance, however, require no tricks to seduce us. It is, rather, the timeless appeal of fine workmanship that truly pleases the style connoisseur. In India, the caress of luxury is the result of millions of artisan hands that pour their energy to define the ancient artisanal skill, exquisite taste and patience. Only a fusion of soul and expert technique will produce fine craft. Intricate workmanship, along with the return to organic textile celebrates and feeds Indian Couture, reinventing our historical traditions in the form of the Modern Mughal.
Coupled with the intricate European tradition of fine fit, tailoring and structured draping, these skills and traditions produce an entirely novel blend of Indian finery and layered western construct. Contemporary Indian Couture has reached a new maturity that fuses Western and Indian techniques and produces confident new signature with an identity that transcends origin, but highlights heritage along with the finest materials, be it weaves, jewels or techniques. This, we believe, brings both our skill and talent to the fore, resulting in a magnificent, new generation of Indian Design. It is this philosophy that will be the thrust of this Exposition, and which continues to shape our view of luxury.
The Bridal Couture Exposition will highlight the finest weaves, embroideries, jewels, stones and techniques. This, we hope, will bring our artisans and processes to the fore, resulting in a new luxe and fine fit that is uniquely Indian.
The setting has been designed as a simple gallery of paper-mache as a walk through a textured gallery space with stencilled walls- just showing through a photographic form the processes involved with a close up of the artisans at every level, to the conclusion of a couture garment.
Past this, one enters the space with the mannequins which are draped in full finery including superb jewels sourced by Forevermark from all over the country. Forevermark diamonds are inscribed with a promise that they are beautiful, rare and accentuate the bride's wedding attire. Accessories such as footwear too, have been included. Some of the mannequins are set amongst the backdrop of large portraits from the shoot, so the observer can appreciate the details as well as distinguish the garments worn in the context of life.
The set-up is a rendezvous of an opulent Indian wedding. The luxurious ambience, brought to life by the artistic and traditional creations such as the 'Swarovski Apsara' adds a magnificent sense of grandeur. 'Artisanal' is a thrilling experience with a timeless and classic appeal that will undeniably enchant the connoisseurs of luxury.

Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve is a blend of the most extraordinary Whiskies from the Master Blender's Private Reserve. At the heart of this blend lies ClynelishTM, a warm fruity single malt distilled with water that, according to legend, flowed literally across the gold deposited in the streams of Kildonan Hills.
"Because of its rich and extraordinary origin, Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve is toasted as the blend which stands for celebration, indulgence and exquisite craftsmanship. This is why it is a natural fit to partner with Tarun Tahiliani's Bridal Couture Exposition, which is a celebration of extravagant style for the biggest celebration in anyone's life.
