Kangana Ranaut was the showstopper for Suneet Varma at the BMW India Bridal Fashion Week. The Bollywood actress of 'Queen' fame wore a stunning piece that made a bold statement. The look was to conjure up memories of a royal avatar on the ramp.
"It is an amazing collection and because Suneet is a dear friend, it feels great to have walked for him. He did some mirror work in some of his clothes and I have told him I want that for my wedding," Kangana said. The designer said, "Kangana is a gutsy actress, very forward-thinking. She has found a relevant, important niche for herself, which very few actresses have been able to do. She represents the Indian women with lot of power and will. So, I think red is her colour".
The collection draws inspiration from Rajasthan, and more specifically from the Shekhawati region of the state. "Inspiration for the headgears and my collection was Shekhawati. I incorporated the miniature paintings from Rajasthan and the drawings and art works from Shekhawati for these crowns and then used our own elements and added two shades of gold, making them not too bright and not that dull," Varma said.
