Strand of Silk participates in the yearly charity event ‘Smoky not Smudgy’, hosted by the Imperial College London in South Kensington. Smoky not Smudgy is an event solely created for raising money for orphans and needy children worldwide. As a part of charity week, the event is a university and student led campaign sponsored by Islamic relief.
The event was a ladies only pampering event, which provided women from all across the country with everything they desire in a girly day out. The event consisted of a unique selection of fashion and lifestyle stalls offering a variety of luxury and high street items, as well as hosting a number of luxury services, beauty treatments, photography studios, and even tutorials by industry professionals.
Strand of Silk showcased a selection of accessories from a number of our contemporary Indian designers and also hosted a competition in which they gave away a designer scarf to the lucky winner at the end of the event. We were proud to have taken part in this fun and unique event, which is humbly organised purely to raise a generous amount of money for a great cause.
