The India International Jewellery Week in Mumbai featured multiple Bollywood stars and stunning collections. One of the designers that presented their collections were the desginer duo of Shantanu and Nikhil.

The collection featured flowy drapes, lace applique work in a manner that emphasised the curves. Non traditional colours for Indian brides like Grey, Black and Blue were used by the designers. The collection was titles "Rani Sultanat" and has been inspired by the Art Deco Revolution of the 1930's.

Nikhil Mehra mentioned, "Couture for us is about refinement. It's in the details of the craft that makes every ensemble a special creation." Designer Shantanu Mehra added, "Many brides want a complete look from us for their wedding. As a result, the inclusion of accessories and elaborate head gear has been a natural progression in our design expression. These garments are not for the big day alone, but can be incorporated into a woman's wardrobe afterwards as well."
