According to Nikhil and Shantanu Mehra there is a bigger market for menswear in India - "It's a fact, contrary to the fact that womenswear has been the bigger market opportunity in most countries, here in India, menswear lords over with a massive 42% market share. They are the main spenders and decision makers in Indian weddings" he says.
Nikhil adds: "Traditional outfits like formal suits have gone out of fashion. It's time for experimentation. Why can't the sherwanis be shorter? We are now introducing a new line of evening lounge wear comprising jackets and bandhgalas at WIFW."
