The famous actor, Manoj Bajpayee, will walk the ramp as showstopper for Indian designer Samant Chauhan for his Spring/ Summer 2013 collection. Having many common points including the encouragement of weavers or the support of Bhagalpuri textiles, the two men have teamed up for the forthcoming edition of Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW). Manoj Bajpayee stated that Samant Chauhan was as excited as he was to present something unique on the runway.
Samant Chauhan will present a total of 34 garments for both men and women of his new collection titled “Rajputana Poshak”. This season, Samant Chauhan has used the real zari from Surat and Benaras in North of India. He also used the Pajputana style embroidery technique and the collection will have lots of "angarakha” for men and women alike. The men’s line is inspired of the Poshak concept that is heavy kalis men used to wear in medieval times. For the women, it will have again highlighted 'kalis'. The lines will accentuate the techniques of inserting the kali and innovative way of using zari.
