The Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIDC) in an effort to promote women entrepreneurs from the city organised a special event on the first day of the India International Trade Fair 2014.
At the event, Lt Governor Najeeb Jung awarded some of the most inspirational women entrepreneurs from Delhi. Women entrepreneurs from every field were included and awarded. Fashion designers like Rina Dhaka and Ritu Beri, restaurateur Ritu Dalmia, social activist Kiran Chopra and founder of NGO Dastkar Laila Tyebji were awarded for their initiatives.
The theme of the India International Trade Fair 2014 for that day was themed for these women entrepreneurs with the catch phrase ‘Hum kisi se kum nahi’ to motivate these entrepreneurs and more women to contribute towards India’s bright future.
Designer Ritu Beri stated that this is an excellent platform for women to be recognised and she’s thrilled to share the spotlight at this award for with the other incredible entrepreneurs.
