Day two of Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2014 focused on comfortable fashion.
Many talented designers including Pratima Pandey Rimzim Dadu and Kallol Dutta showcased their collection consisting of wearable fabrics like chanderi, silk and khadi.
Pratima’s collection‘Singing Sparrow’ saw layered, asymmetric garments. Her male collection saw chanderi jackets worn over fitted pants.
“I kept it simple and easy. I used a lot of black because I feel black and grey are the two colours that symbolise autumn and winter. I also loved the idea of layering rather than fitted lines,” Pratima said.
Designer Rimzim’s collection used the Patola weave technique of Gujarat. The designer paired her chiffon-cord garments with vibrant and comfortable flat shoes.
Even Kallol Dutta’s collection focused on easy to wear outfits, mostly layered jumpsuits.
