The Indian design nominees for the International Woolmark Prize for 2014-15 are Barkha Sonzal, Zubair Kirmani and Akaaro.
The International Woolmark Prize is now in its third year and has emerged as a coveted award in the design world. Rahul Mishra was the first Indian designer to win the prize in the previous year.
The nominee designers will be asked to present sketches of a Merino wool collection of six outfits. One of these outfits will be created and shown at the India Middle East regional award.
For the first time this year, two of the designers will receive awards. One will be for menswear whilst the other for womenswear.
The international winners will then have their collections sold through top retail brands, Joyce in China, Harvey Nichols in UK, Saks Fifth Avenue in the USA, Colette in France, Corso Como in Italy and David Jones in Australia.
