37 Indian designers have created 37 limited black clutches in their signature style for a good cause. This is part of the fifth edition of Vogue India Fashion's Night Out which took place on September 5 in Mumbai.
The Black Clutch Project is an initiative by American Express and fashion magazine Vogue India for their global annual event, Fashion’s Night Out. The sales proceeds will go to a charitable organisation, Habitat for humanity India – which allows women with financial means from around the world to help women in need in India. Designers such as Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Raghavendra Rathore and Anita Dongre will showcase their exclusive clutches for American Express Platinum Card members only.
About the clutch he created, Raghavendra Rathore said: "This delicately handcrafted clutch combines the refined aesthetic sensibilities of the glory days of the Raj with time-honoured Indian embroidery techniques. Inspired by the 1920s, it's a piece of lavish luxury that epitomises sophistication and style, inherent attributes of the Rathore brand,"
