There was plenty to get excited about at Wills India Lifestyle Fashion Week in the first two days. There was Raakesh Agarvwal who created a risqué collection with black leather and faux fur. It was seductive and electrifying. The clothing alluded to S&M and bondage. There was then Rina Dhaka whose designs were innovative through the strong prints and mesh paneling. Rina’s showstopper was the stunning Miss India International from 2011, Ankita Shorey.
Day Two was a sharp contrast with experimental styles. Kallol Dutta’s collection was full of youthful spunk. Anand Bhushan’s collection was very structural and with gothic undertones and was inspired by DNA. Malini Ramani’s line was influenced by animal instinct and showed a strong monochrome style with opulent gold and gittery saris and dresses.
