Today, 13th March at Lakme Fashion Show, Mandira Bedi presented a collection of beautiful elegant sarees. The designs were inspired by real life women wearing real life sarees. The fabrics appeared to be mostly satin, silk, net etc. There was a blend of vibrant colours such as orange mixed with pink, purple, indigo, light blue, neon colours. Simple & lightweight sarees which were very eye catching. Some sarees also had gold borders on them.
Monika & Karishma’s collections at Lakme Fashion Show was inspired by traditional Indian women. They presented sequinned maxi gowns in light colours of white and goldish shades. The showstopper appeared in a pink lehenga with golden embroidery.
Suman Nathwani had a beach wear style collection in orange, yellow shades, swim suits, cut lehenga style, short skirt, skin fitting trousers in blue shades. The Showstopper wore a very bright purple off the shoulder gown.
Arthi Vijay Gupta presented a beautiful collection of contemporary designs of summer collections. It included short and maxis combined with a jacket decorated with human figure prints. A knee length dress in off white shades, sarees in yellow, purple, mixture of green white and blue white sarees. The collection also featured white trousers with blue flowery prints.
Shikha and Vinita presented collections with traditionally designed sarees in peach colours and black flowery prints. There were also Long maxis with blue flowery prints as well as Jackets in grey with black flowery prints.
Ashmita Marwa presented a collection at Lakme Fashion Show of palazzo pants in blue and red checks. Long white skirt complemented by a half-shoulder top. Golden and black print trousers. Palazzo pants with a glittery top.
Abdul Halder presented a collection at Lakme Fashion Show of gowns in blue shades with embroidery work, pink flare gown, white netted gown, A short dress in yellow shades, netted saree with red beads and gowns in red lace.
Sailex collections were in white. The Jumpsuits were white with pockets. There was also sarees with beadwork. White stripes on black saree. There were gowns in shades of orange and a dori.
Payal Singhal’s collection at Lakme Fashion Show was inspired by Indian designs. There was a white colour with black printed salwar suit combined with a jacket, a Saree with black & white prints, a white lehenga with silver border and a lehenga covered in golden embroidery. Showstopper Neha Dhupia wore a black and white gown with a gold subtle hues.
