As a designer Manoviraj believes that “those who are fashion conscious are intelligent enough to choose something that can be worn year round with different combinations, rather than go for two different wardrobes based on seasons.” The mother-daughter designer duo of Jamila and Seema Malhotra who are better known as dream weavers of Bangalore’s elite launched their flagship store ‘Shimmer’ a year ago in Bangalore. Their widely recognized classic silhouettes and intricate embroideries are seen in Hollywood films such as Elizabeth and Shakespeare in Love. Fantasies in myriad hues took shape as they presented their latest collection ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’. Another curtain raiser to the much awaited Sunfeast World 10K Run, Nike the official running partner unveiled the official merchandise at the event. Winners of Sunfeast World 10K Run from last year put on new shoes as they graced the ramp on the occasion as another toast to the grand event set to be held tomorrow in Bangalore. The who’s who of the modeling world such as Diandra Soares, Candice Pinto, Anchal Kumar, Rachel Baros, Jackie Shetty and Pashmina walked the ramp with élan with elite athletes from around the world under Sheetal Sharma’s distinctive choreography. As Manoviraj concentrated more on ‘easy to wear’ attire, the mother-daughter duo flaunted grand ethnicity giving the crowd the best taste of both worlds catering to their needs.
