Indian fashion designer Manish Malhotra added a Punjabi flavour to the ramp at the Wills Indian Fashion Week with newbies like Esha Gupta, Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez flaunting his creations.
Titled ‘Threads of Emotion’, Malhotra celebrated the magic and heritage of the Phulkari embroidery from his native state-Punjab in the collection. Dressed in a black bandhgala with embroidered collar and white patiala, Sidharth Malhotra wowed the audience. While Delhi girl Esha Gupta wore a black net embroidered sari with a heavy red underskirt.
Jacqueline Fernandez rocked a fully embroidered colourful long jacket teamed with white and orange lehenga. The collection also featured saris, anarkalis, floor length anarkalis and angrakhas. For men there were bandhgalas, salwars teamed with colourful turbans and embroidered shawls.
