Best Dressed from Manish Malhotra's Nieces Wedding
01 st Feb 2015

There is never an inappropriate occasion for a Manish Malhotra fashion show, particularly when it showcases some of Bollywood's top stars.

Recently when the popular designer's niece, Riddhi Malhotra, got married to her lovely fiance Tejas Talwalkar, based in Mumbai, the aisles of the venue were almost turned into catwalks for the Bollywood stars that attended. It may have been a tribute to Malhotra, or it might not have been because you can’t go wrong in his garments, but almost all of his guests showcased and sparkled in his beautiful creations.

The most popular colours for this season were easily spotted. Sridevi, Sophie Choudry and  Priyanka Chopra were a few of the celebrities who were spotted wearing bright pink, in contrast to Madhuri Dixit-Nene and Raveena Tandon who favoured yellow and greens.

Neutral shades were also a popular choice - Karisma Kapoor looked gorgeous in a simple white sari, as well as Alia Bhatt who wore a pretty white lehenga. Kareena Kapoor Khan chose to wear a flattering shade of deep rose whereas Shilpa Shetty opted for an earthy coloured attire in tones of greens, and Natasha really stood out in show stopping shimmering gold lehenga.

Choosing darker tones, Parineeti Chopra went for a deep midnight blue coloured lehenga, and Sophie Choudry went for dark maroon tones. Then there were some stars who were not wearing Manish Malhotra. One of the most stand out looks came from Aditi Rao Hydari, who wore a stunning bright green Sanjay Garg saree. Next was Esha Gupta who wore bright neon lehenga by Manish Arora.

The bride herself obviously opted for Bollywood's favourite designer and no other than her uncle for all her stunning outfits!
