Renowned fashion designer Manish Arora has earned praises and accolades all over the world and is regarded as one of the greatest contemporary designers. Successfully showing his collections at Paris Fashion Week since 2007, Arora has established himself as a global success.
Drawing inspiration from his own adventures as a traveller across various countries, Manish Arora recently unveiled his latest collection titled 'Indian by Manish Arora Festive 2015-16.' The designer was moved by his experiences in countries like Turkey, America, Bali, China, Africa and India and brought it to life in a beautiful and intricate mix of bead and mirror work.
The collection was unveiled in an event hosted at the French embassy, which was particularly poigant because of Arora's fondness for the country. He has spent half his lifetime in France and it seemed the obvious choice for the venue.
The collection contained ethnic wear for festive occasions such as embellished lehenga cholis as well as more contemporary clothing like dresses, long skirts, coats and pants. These were all made using fabrics such as denim, organza, crepes and silk in vibrant colours of red, gold and yellow as well as the more muted pink, peach, light blue and metallic silver. However, the highlight of the day undoubtedly remained the headgear adorned with fluorescent beads and spikes.
