Krishna Mehta's collection at the Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) focused on fabrics and textiles from Bhagalpur, Benaras and Maheshwar. The designer is a strong supporter of Indian textiles and in the past has featured textiles from Gujarat, Manipur, Benaras.

Before the show, the designer said in an interview to PTI, "As a designer I want to promote newer markets by highlighting specialities of various regions. This time we will focus on the traditional textiles of Bhagalpur, Benaras and Maheshwar. It will be mix of these regions. It is an endeavour for giving platform to weavers,". The designer added, "Each region has a distinct variety to offer and we thought to amalgamate it. I am trying to open new markets ..Make the fabric from these regions known to all."

The range of style on the ramp included skirts, kurta's and saris with a twist. Krishna Mehta said, "We will give a modern take to these garments. Also it will be wearable and not that expensive. The colour story will be bright, cheerful."
