Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's popularity and stunning looks may have earned her international projects and attention, but it didn't stop the security guards from rejecting her entry to "Jazbaa" photocall at the recent Cannes Film Festival.
Apparently the Bollywood actress was stopped at the gates for not carrying a 'blue pass'. Reportedly, twenty minutes after the incident, Satya Paul Singh, the Indian Embassy protocol officer came out and quickly allowed Aishwarya full access to the event.
Satya Paul Singh allegedly then wrote an email to ‘World News Network’ saying that the Bollywood actress' car did not have a mandatory blue sticker on it, which is why the security persons stalled Aishwarya and her "Jazbaa" team at the event entrance. However, disaster was quickly avoided after those responsible for the venue's security were finally convinced that Aishwarya was in fact a global icon and a Bollywood celebrity.
Meanwhile Aishwarya's PR persons has since denied the claims that the permission wasn't approved earlier in the day and that she wasn't forced to wait for not having of a pass.
