On Monday, online marketplace Snapdeal launched Snaptrends, a fashion trends forecasting service for its vendors.
This gives smaller and medium-sized fashion businesses that don’t have the same finances as large companies access to fashion statistics and insights that will enable them to produce more commercially viable apparel.
Snapdeal Senior Vice-President, Vishal Chadha said that “Snaptrends will enable us to create value for our customers by bringing them the latest apparel and fashion accessories and to our sellers by empowering them with valuable consumer insights.”
Snaptrends will act as a reliable guideline for fashion businesses who sell their products on Snapdeal to produce and curate collections around.
The data that they get from the tracking and forecasting service aims to help them remain competitive in the rapidly expanding marketplace. The service will cover both ethnic and western wear.
