KOCHI: The 2nd version of Manappuram Riti Jewellery International Fashion Festival is being held at ‘Dream Hotel’. The popular event is intended to provide activities and occasions for a number of fashion designers and sponsors to come head-on with major trendsetters, celebrities, musicians, media faces and consumers.
The international event will present three big designer’s collections including: Martin Mac, Weavers Village and Fatiz.
As many as fourteen models along with a number of well known celebrities will walk the runway to display the designer's new collections. Sameer Khan shall be the choreographer and director of the show.
Martin Mac is the head of the company ‘Ethics’ studio at Panampilly Nagar, a house of luxury fashion that endeavours to showcase the most beautiful designs that match everyones individual style. This current season, the overriding trend is canvas of pinks, golds and blues for the Indian wedding wear collections. Luxurious silks and luxury satins have been used to gain the faultless cuts, shape and silhouettes.
Weavers Village was created to introduce more young people to the field of handlooms, and is proposed for: “people, planet and profits”. ‘Wedding essentials’ Their Spring/Summer 2015 collection consists of wedding essentails, and showcases lavish blends of ‘kancheepuram silks’ and unique kerala handlooms, teamed with innovative zari consisting of lots of layers which seems to be this season’s wedding trend.
Last but not least, the designs and creations of Noushija M A, the managing director of Fatiz Garments, are extremely original and effectively combine both traditionalism with modernity.
