2015 is now upon us and has brought with it an exciting variety of hot new trends that are sure to tickle your fancy.
Bridal wear: Say goodbye the previous bridal anarkali trend, Designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla are now shifting away from the anarkali in their 2015 collections. Khosla recently stated that he still loves the traditional elegance of the anarkali, but in 2015 he will now be experimenting with layering and straighter more contemporary cuts and styles.
We’re also seeing an influx of more subtle colour palettes with muted neutrals such as beiges and whites ruling their new collections.
Colours and Prints: A lover of all things colourful and print-tastic? Well you’re in for treat! Designer Monisha Jaising has predicted that in 2015 fashion will take inspiration heavily from nature, with shades representing forests such as a natural looking, metallic shades of green and also the subtle shades of titanium. As well as earthy tones like sandstone.
Stylist and designer Surily Goel has also stated that trends are going to take a crazy route, with a lot of Japanese style prints, such as cherry blossoms, and traditional Japanese colour pallets.
Menswear: 2015 will see your average shorts go formal, worn with suit jackets instead of casual t-shirts. Designer Varun Bahl has also stated that trousers may start to become smaller and shorter and a lot more daring and that a big menswear trend this year will be the luxury backpack!
Bahl also predicts a move away from minimal and traditional black and grey suits, and a move towards shades such as midnight blue and navy.
