All set to join the fashion industry, students graduating from the Northern India Institute of Fashion Technology (NIIFT), Ludhiana showcased their creative talent through ‘Anukama 11’- Annual Design Collection show today.
Aiming towards nurturing and promoting new talent to the Indian fashion industry, ‘Anukama 2011’ provides a platform for students to unveil their best creations. Each design presented is unique in its own way.
The show will be held on June 16 at Guru Nanak Dev Bhawan at Bharat Nagar Chowk. Tikshan Sood, the Industries & Commerce Minister, Punjab will be the chief guest.
Through colours, materials, finishes and techniques, students express individual statements as design solutions. The show will present 61 collections designed by fashion graduates. The show will be anchored by radio jockey and show host Rahul Makin. Over 28 male and female models would walk the ramp during the show.
The choreographer for this year’s show is Kaushik Ghosh. His team of well known female models are Supermodels Shreya Kishore, Sahiba Singh, Anna, Chahat Sabaji, Amanpreet Wahi ,Tina Chatwal, Sakshi and Sangeeta to name a few. The male models are Manish, Puneet, Ricky Walia, Aman & Deepak.

Bains, Director General, NIIFT said, “I wish all these budding designers the very best and hope to see them at the top in the near future.” He said, “Anukama 2011 is a platform which offers a significant step for the graduating students towards becoming the trendsetting designers, brand builders and technical consultants of tomorrow.”
