A Hyderabad-based start-up called Trupik Connect is working on 3D body mapping technology, which has the potential to revolutionise the way we shop.
The 3D body mapping technology will allow customers to try on numerous garments virtually. The CEO of Trupik Connect, Sridhar Tirumala, explained that they use a depth sensing camera called Microsoft Kinect to create a virtual avatar. This then allows customers to see what clothes would look like on them and which size would fit best.
Four men’s wear brands have so far partnered with the tech start-up: Raymond, Wills, Terrain, and Allen Solly. They are all set to launch the Trupik kiosks at their respective clothes shops in Hyderabad.
Trupik Connect has so far raised $1 million in investments.
