The 2nd edition of The Manappuram Riti Jewellery International Fashion Festival, which was directed by Pegasus, was recently showcased in the ‘Dream Hotel’.
The event was based around offering activities and important opportunities for upcoming fashion designers and a variety of sponsors to meet with important principal tastemakers, Bollywood stars, musicians, press and consumers.
The international fashion fest showcased collections from three talented designers, including the likes of Martin Mac, Weavers Village and Fatiz. A large variety of models as well as a number of celebrities sashayed down the ramp to present the designers stunning collections.
Matin Mac is the founder and owner of ‘Ethics’ Studio at Panampilly Nagar, which is a place of high-end luxury fashion that endeavours to create exquisite designs that match every woman's style. This season, he has showcased a palette of pinks, golds and blues for his stunning Indian bridal wear collection. Fabrics such as luxury silk, linen and exquisite satin have been used to create perfect cuts and silhouettes.
Weavers Village was created to include more young people into the area of handlooms and is created and designed for “people, planet and profits”. Their Spring/Summer 2015 collection consists of wedding essentials, and includes a luxurious blend of Kancheepuram silk and traditional Keralan handlooms.
The creations of Noushija M A, Managing Director of Fatiz Garments, are extremely innovative and unique, and magnificently bridge the ever growing gap between traditional and modern styles in Indian fashion.
