This Lakme Fashion Week saw the showcase of six amazing fresh new designers.

Anita Dongre mentored the new designers. Here is some information about these new exciting designers:

Firstly the designer Divya Sheth’s collection had strong influences from Morocco and Japan. Divya’s silhouettes were unconventional and inspired by tea bags and saucers linked by the designer’s main stylish inspiration, which was Mary Cassatt’s ‘Lady at the Tea Table.’ The collection featured trousers and summery dresses as well as draped gowns.

Another new designer Parul Bhargava’s collection was inspired by 1950’s as she created structured jackets in beige, brown and blue.

Vilvin Sabu’s show was called ‘Tropical Chic’ and featured body suits, blouses with strong contrasting colours of green, maroon, rust and navy.

Sreetjith Jeevan’s collection was inspired by the romantic rain of Kerala and was called ‘Weather Forecast’. The outfits featured hip length tees, casual tunics, prints of paper boats and cars.

The designer Ujjawal Dubey’s collection was called ‘No Longer the Hunted’ and featured intriguing outfits inspired by the cold deserts. The colours used in this collection were black, beige and grey.
