On Day 3 of the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week, Indian textiles and weaves had the place of honour.
The weavers looms must have definitely worked extra hard this season. Every single designer who showed swore to have been influenced and inspired by Indian textiles and handloom, and showed a lot of handwoven fabrics in their collections. There was a show dedicated completely to the ministry of textiles, which saw the versatile duo Abraham and Thakore up the glam quotient of Indian weaves by several notches.
Then, Manish Malhotra gave the dying art of phulkari a boost by having Bollywood stars walk in phulkari embroidered outfits.
