Designer Farah Khan Ali just presented her new collection created for Tanishq. The presentation was on Friday and she wore a gorgeous green dress for the occasion. It is the first time that Ali designed for a mass jewellery brand and it is a way for her to escape from the label of being a niche-designer and let people know that her creations are accessible to everybody.
The collection has been inspired by Persian culture because of the richness of its motifs and feminine influences. Amongst the pieces in her collections, the styles included rings, pendant sets and earrings made in 18 carat Gold with precious stones, like emeralds, topaz, rubies etc.
The pieces have the peculiarity of being versatile, and thus some of them can be worn in 10 different ways. The creation of this tricky jewellery was possible thanks to the unique skills of Ali - she is a Designer and a Gemologist who graduated from the reputed Gemological Institute of America. Her own label, Farah Khan Fine Jewellery, was launched in 2004 and is appreciated by both Bollywood and Hollywood celebrities such as Deepika Padukone and Beyonce, so it is no surprise that her pieces for Tanishq are priced at upto Rs 1.5 lakh.
