Renowned names from the Indian fashion industry came forward to present their haute couture collection at the just concluded ninth edition of Blenders Pride Fashion Tour. The finale show was opened by Gaviin Miguel, who took inspiration from English rock band Led Zeppelin’s famous chartbuster Stairway to Heaven.
Designer Vikram Phadnis presented an intricately embellished collection made from luxe Indian fabrics. The line included stylish jalabias, detailed lehengas, caped kalidars and kotis, Patiala pants teamed up with tight fitted kurtis in tones of black, ivory and cream.
Inspired from the works of celebrated American composer and songwriter Cole Porter, Wendell Rodricks created his youthful range titled Red, Haute and Blue. Fit to be worn both to beach-side parties and red carpet events, the line included exquisite styles in shades of fuchsia, orange, blue and green.
The fashion tour, held across six Indian cities, also showcased collections from famed Indian couturiers like Falguni & Shane Peacock, JJ Valaya, Pankaj & Nidhi, Rocky S, Suneet Varma and Tarun Tahiliani.
