Don’t take any appointments for the dates between the 18th and the 22nd of March, because Lakmé Fashion Week will present the best collection of designers!
For the Emerging and Jabong Stage categories, 39 designers are scheduled to show their collections, amongst whom include Shon Randhawa with her label Patine from London and Parul Bhargava from Paris. Their collections obviously will be characterised by International tastes infused in every piece.
According to Saket Dhankar, head-fashion at IMG Reliance, since 2006 Lakmé Fashion Week has always been famous for its capability to integrate Indian fashion into the global fashion industry. That is why already established designer are not the only stars of the event, but also new talent is really important for the success of the show: helping to introduce global fashion into the Indian scene.
Purnima Lamba, the head of innovations at Lakmé, explained that different scouts searched for and recruited emerging talents across India, the best ones, to participate at the event. According to their forecasts, these selected designers will definitely change the fashion industry in some way and this show represents their introduction to Indian fashion world. They are coming, not just from Mumbai, but from all different parts of India. Some of them for example come from Kolkata, Hyderabad, Noida and New Delhi.
As always, this event will be full of big personalities from the fashion industry and will represent a significant source of inspiration for all enthusiasts.
