November 2014 states the commencement of Gaurav Gupta’s ten year expedition within the Indian fashion industry. Gaurav stated that this year in particular is a big one for them. The popular designer’s unique choices within the industry combined with Indian traits makes the actor Kalki Koechlin the flawless choice for a brand muse.
Gupta has created a fashion-based film of his recent couture collection alongside videographer Rohan Hoole. The stunning campaign is skilfully shot by photographer Tarun Vishwa, designed and directed by GQ India's fashion director Vijendra Bhardwaj, and finally hair and make-up by Deepa Verma, Gaurav called this impressive group of talent his dream team. The fashion film has quite eerie and mysterious connotations that express the fashion designer's love for the dark and beautiful side of fashion.
Further more, to celebrate his prosperous decade, Gaurav shall be opening his flagship store based Kala Ghoda, Mumbai. The space has been converted in true Gupta style with the use of extremely Gothic and beautifully mythical interiors. Representing a cave decorated with couture, the store is definitely out of the ordinary.
Next door neighbour to the flagship shore is the well known Delhi Art Gallery, which will be showcasing his ten year journey within the fashion and design world through a unique fashion and art exhibition named ‘Paradigm Shift’.
