Two veteran Indian fashion designers, Anju Modi and Sabyasachi Mukherjee, will present their new collections on the opening day of the PCJ Delhi Couture Week 2013. The extravaganza will start from the 31st of July and will take place at the Taj Palace hotel until the 4th of August.
Announcing the participation of many successful designers, Sunil Sethi, president of Fashion Design Council of India, said, "Anju Modi and Sabyasachi are the most sought-after designers in the country with a huge fan following." In response, Anju has reported “to feel honoured as it is a privilege to open the PCJ Delhi Couture Week 2013.
This season, my collection takes inspiration from Indian mythology. Draupadi, the epicentre of Mahabharata remains the central idea for the strong woman I wish to portray. The qualities she epitomises in the form of Agnijyotsna, are in harmony with my presentation". No doubts that these two designers will give the right impetus to the upcoming event!
